Program Overview
The Summer Badge Accelerator is a focused, half-day program designed for Forest School heroes in rising grades 6–8 and 9–12 who are ready to catch up, get ahead, or begin their journey at the Forest. This program is not remediation—it is acceleration, preparation, and a celebration of what heroes are capable of when given dedicated time, structured support, and a guide who believes in them.
Through goal setting, badge work, and personalized learning pathways, heroes engage in a purposeful daily rhythm that builds independence, strengthens academic skills, and fosters confidence. Whether a hero is new, behind, or ahead, this experience is designed to close the gap between where they are and where they know they can be.
Weekly Structure
Families have flexibility to choose what works best for them. Students may enroll for one week, two weeks, or all three weeks, and families may select any combination of available sessions that fits their schedule.
The Summer Badge Accelerator is offered in the following sessions:
Middle School (Grades 6–8):
June 8–12
June 15–19
High School (Grades 9–12):
June 8–12

All sessions run Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM and take place on campus at The Forest School.

Independent work time with guide check-ins, ensuring support without limiting autonomy
Enrichment opportunities including study skills, SDL challenges, hero mentors, and celebrations.
A strong emphasis on confidence-building, independence, and real-world skill development
What to Expect: A Sample Day
Each day follows a consistent rhythm designed to balance focus, independence, and engagement:
8:30 AM
Goal Setting
Heroes arrive and set clear intentions for the day, aligning their work with personal goals.
8:45 AM
Core / Badge Work
Focused time dedicated to academic progress and badge completion.
10:15 AM
Brain Break
Short reset to recharge and refocus.
10:25 AM
Independent Work & Guide Check-Ins
Heroes continue working while receiving individualized support and feedback from their Guide.
11:25 AM
Brain Break
Another quick reset before the final work block.
11:35 AM
Enrichment Block
Activities may include study skills, SDL challenges, special guests, or themed experiences like Fun Fridays.
12:15 PM
Goal Updates & Shout Outs
Reflection on progress, celebrating wins, and setting momentum for the next day.
12:30 PM
Pickup Begins
Learners will pack up and head to the courtyard for dismissal
