Athletics at The Forest School

Our learners don’t just play sports—they start them. From girls’ volleyball to boys’ basketball, every team began with students rallying friends and parents to build something new. As part of GAPPS, our athletes compete with heart, while our whole community comes together to cheer.

Learner-Led Athletics

At The Forest School, sports aren’t just about competition—they’re about learning to live and grow together. Our learners themselves launched our athletics program, starting girls’ volleyball and boys’ basketball, and they continue to shape it. Here, any learner can found a new team by rallying enough teammates and partnering with a parent-volunteer coach.

Proud Members of GAPPS

We are proud members of the Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools (GAPPS), giving our athletes the chance to compete with other schools across the state.

Today, our teams include:

    •    Girls’ Middle School and Varsity Volleyball

    •    Boys’ Middle School and High School Basketball

More Than a Game

Through athletics, learners build teamwork, communication, resilience, and leadership. Games bring our entire community together—siblings, parents, friends, and fans all showing up to cheer. For us, athletics are as much about the joy of community as they are about the thrill of competition.
