The Forest School Team is Growing!
We are excited to introduce our two newest team members,
Dynasti and Trey!
Both Dynasti and Trey are joining our team as Apprentice Guides and Math Specialists. Both bring unique perspectives and experiences and we are thrilled to see them grow with The Forest School! Though they’ll provide support in all Studios, Trey and Dynasti will work primarily with our Elementary Studios.
Dynasti Fortier

Dynasti is from Atlanta, Georgia, but has spent the last 10 years in Tennessee furthering her education. Her passion for learning comes from her family as she is from a long line of educators who instilled the value of knowledge and critical thinking from an early age. After attending The Baylor School as a boarding student, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Rhodes College and her Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics from Lee University. While at Rhodes, she participated in several activities including Rhodes Singers, the Title IX Committee, cheerleading, tutoring and was a resident assistant.
Dynasti’s background in philosophy lends itself to the Socratic method of guiding learners towards curiosity and abstract thought. Dynasti loves all things logical, especially mathematics and epistemology, and is ecstatic about being a part of the community at The Forest School.
Dynasti is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and remains dedicated to serving her community through philanthropic events. During her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, and solving jigsaw puzzles.
Trey Lackey
elementary Apprentice Guide & Math specialist
Trey was born and raised in Coweta County, Georgia, and attended East Coweta High School. After graduating, he attended the University of Georgia and acquired a BA and an MA in Linguistics. With an additional minor in Mathematics, he has worked to apply the study of diverse cultures and languages to education. In addition to mathematics tutoring, Trey has also been involved in organizations such as Mathcounts at UGA, which work to increase excitement and engagement with math studies and math competitions in both flourishing and under-resourced schools.
Trey has always felt that attention to diverse needs, goals, and histories is essential to helping learners reach their full potential in all subjects, including mathematics. He has constantly striven to incorporate knowledge of the diverse and complex needs of individual learners with mathematics education.
When not at work, Trey loves cooking, hiking, and exploring the outdoors
