The Forest School was featured in the October 28 episode of TeachLab with Justin Reich, a podcast investigating the art and craft of teaching and a production of MIT’s Teaching Systems Lab.

The episode focuses on the ways in which the pandemic challenged educators to reevaluate curriculum and subtract some aspects in order to best serve learners. Our Head of School Dr. Tyler Thigpen shares The Forest School’s Deep Book experience. Through our approach, learners create their individual reading list while reporting to their peers and guides. Achieving mastery also requires engaging a diverse and varied list of authors and writings.
