Jackie Baze
Middle School Guide
Jackie Baze is an enthusiastic educator and life long learner. She is excited to support the important mission of The Forest School and its partners with her 15 years of experience as a guide for learning. Jackie graduated from UH Manoa with a self-designed Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and Second Language Education, and subsequently earned a Master's in Secondary ELA Teaching. Her previous professional roles include being a classic high school teacher in Honolulu, Hawaii where she grew up, support staff at a Montessori school in Fayetteville where she relocated in 2016, and most recently a middle school ELA specialist for Fayette County BOE.
Jackie enjoys reading in her free time, including being a member of multiple local social book clubs. She values connection with her husband and son through good old fashioned puzzles and board games, plus the occasional hike through the woods or a kayaking adventure. Her belief and passion for relationship building are at the core of her guiding principles. Jackie feels called to innovate learning structures in pursuit of supporting young heroes. Ultimately this means helping everyone to achieve their goals to positively impact their community and the world.
