Ice Cream Quest

Truly, ice cream brings people together. In the Ice Cream Quest, elementary learners will play the role of fledgling food scientists who are in pursuit of the perfect frozen dessert for a session-long competition. Heroes will learn chemistry facts and skills through studying and making ice cream flavors. At Exhibition, the Elementary Studio will host an Ice Cream social for local first responders as an act of service. As such, their solution is to have a delicious Exhibition where they showcase their frozen masterpieces while practicing gratitude to community helpers.

Machine Learning Quest

In the world we live in, machines are doing much of the work that once belonged to humans. The concept of artificial intelligence (AI) means that machines can learn and grow in their knowledge! Machine Learning impacts and will continue to impact many careers. Many of today’s highest paying, most sought after jobs didn’t exist 10 years ago. What will work look like 10 years from now? Machine learning is sure to be a large part of it.

For this Quest, learners will seek to become a “master of machine learning.”

For Middle School, the Town of Trilith will be the client. They will share future projections for the town and welcome feedback from our learners. The challenge for Middle School heroes is to learn how to teach a machine how to become a city planner. Can their machine play a valuable role in building the Town at Trilith?

High Schoolers will have a similar challenge, only they will choose their clients! Their challenge will be to identify a client they can help by using their knowledge of machine learning.

At Exhibition, Middle and High School heroes will present their findings and recommendations to real world clients, using machine learning.
