  • Math Specialist will design and deliver math labs that align with the mission, promises, and core
    beliefs of The Forest School as well as four key design principles—inspiring, diverse,
    mastery-based, and personalized—for each lab. Math Specialist will...

  • Lead Math Labs

  • Assess learners and develop up to date progress reports

  • Tutor learners

  • Tailor curriculum for The Forest School

  • Create session, weekly, and daily planning

  • Offer flexibility in planning workspace

  • Any other math related duties as assigned by Sadecia Yates’s direct reports at The
    Forest Schools

  • In collaboration with Amber, make multiple drafts of math scope and sequence for upper
    elementary, middle school, and high school in week one (submitting first version by
    Wednesday at the latest, second by Thursday, and third by Friday)

  • Write parent email drafts in collaboration with Amber

  • Work 2 in-person days each week from 8:30am-3pm. Math Specialist should
    also collaborate with Guides to determine what learner work gets transferred into learner
    portfolios and transcripts and how.
